Scanning surveillance reports are published to inform governments, the veterinary profession and livestock farming industries of new or re-emerging threats to animal health or changing trends among existing ones. They are compiled by APHA’s Surveillance Intelligence Unit and published on GOV.UK.

Veterinary Investigation Diagnosis Analysis (VIDA)
Annual report on data recorded by APHA and SRUC Veterinary Services on animal and bird diagnostic submissions in Great Britain.
APHA produce an annual VIDA report that comprises both summary data by month for VIDA diagnoses recorded during the previous year and annual totals for the previous eight years. In addition, further analysis and comments are provided for three diseases, selected by the representative Species Expert Group.

Chemical food safety
Summary of investigations into chemical incidents on farms to ensure the health and welfare of livestock, and food safety, is protected.
