Brucella PCR

PCR and Multiplex PCR

PCR – Detection of Brucella species, yes/no and Ct value.
PCR – Detection of Brucella abortus, yes/no and Ct value.
Multiplex PCR – Result (Brucella species identified) and where possible the strain. It is requested that a copy of the blot is sent to the Vetqas box to aid the Test commentator in their evaluation of the results.
The authorised report will be published electronically. This will show intended results and results from all participants.

Non-infectious substance. UK – Normal post, Overseas – courier. Courier delivery will incur additional charges. Please contact the QA unit for details.

Various aspects of the Proficiency testing schemes may at times be subcontracted. When this occurs it is placed with a competent subcontractor and the Quality Assurance Unit is responsible to the scheme participants for the subcontractors work.
